Pittwater Artists Trail 2012/13 Launched

Pittwater Artist TrailThe Pittwater Artist Trail launched its new brochure for 2012/13 showcasing some 33 artists in 29 studios on the Peninsula.  The open studio weekends are Saturday 19 May and Sunday 20 May 2012 as well as Pittwater Artist Trail.

My Saltwater Studio is open these two weekends plus the first sunday of each month.  So drop in and say hello and see the new works underway or order a personal commission which can be selected from my array of imagery (over 100 paintings now….)

Rising Tides

Rising Tide Exhibition with Cindy Goode MilmanMy works for this exhibition are focussing on the ocean swims from Palm Beach to Whale Beach, the Manly Cole Classic, Bilgola, Avalon and Newport to name a few. A fifteen panel spectacular has been created showing the timeline of the swim and I am donating 10% of every sale of an ocean swim painting to CAN TOO the wonderful ocean swimmer group who swim to raise money for cancer – check them out on www.cantoo.org.au

The Big Swim

Ocean Swim Painting Series – 300 x 400cm paintings inspired by the Ocean Swims around Sydney particularly The Big Swim (Palmie to Whale), Avalon, DeeWhy and Bondi.  Capturing the spirit of the swimmers in the distinct stages of the race from the tense start waiting for the horn to blast whilst jockeying for prime position to take that starting run into the calmest part of the sea and the energetic swim amongst the throngs of people giving a sense of chaos and safety to the crushing wave throwing finish out of the sea.  Working on completing a 15-panel montage of the same race!
